How to Use ChromaBlast-R or PowerDriver-R over a Network
![]() |
Before attempting to network the printer, it is highly recommended to initially set it up with USB only. Complete the entire installation process including a successful print with PowerDriver or the ChromaBlast driver to ensure the system functions properly prior to introducing the networking function. Refer to the Installation and Configuration instructions to do so. |
- Configure the Ricoh (OEM) GelSprinter driver to print over an ethernet* network using the Printer Sharing Guide.
*This is not supported over a wireless network.
- Once the printer is shared, achieve a successful print out via the Ricoh (OEM) GelSprinter driver (not PowerDriver/ChromaBlast driver).
NOTE: If assistance is needed either with the Ricoh printer installation or setting up the printer on a network, contact Ricoh support.
- Only after the printer is functioning properly via the Ricoh (OEM) GelSprinter driver, open PowerDriver or the ChromaBlast driver's Printing Preferences to verify or select the networked printer. Perform a test print through PowerDriver/ChromaBlast driver.

- For each remote workstation, repeat the configuration of the IP address, install and test the Ricoh (OEM) GelSprinter driver then installation of PowerDriver or the ChromaBlast driver, selecting the applicable OEM driver within the Printing Preferences.
